  • The Intensive Care Department has been one of the main pillars of Cura Hospital since its inception. The department includes two basic care units: the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

  • The hospital provides 18 intensive care rooms, and the surgical intensive care unit receives patients with major surgeries, such as major cardiovascular and urological surgeries. In addition to patients with major surgeries, the unit also receives patients suffering from brain trauma or multiple trauma.

  • As for the medical intensive care unit, it includes patients who suffer from failure or damage to one of the body systems, such as liver cell failure, kidney failure, or respiratory failure.

  • It is rotated by a team of doctors in each of the two units over a period of 24 hours, in addition to a staff of nursing trained to provide the health and comfort of patients.

  • The two units are also equipped with comprehensive monitoring equipment that includes the latest devices that monitor the heart, the latest artificial respiration, dialysis and infection control devices.

  • There is always a plan to transfer the latest expertise, information and equipment through continuous educational activities in addition to attending conferences and workshops.
